Ecem Bozkurt
Ecem Bozkurt is a contemporary artist based in Turkiye. She has been creating art since childhood, a passion that has remained a constant throughout her life. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, she felt drawn back to her first love: painting.
Working primarily in acrylics, she creates narrative-driven figurative works that combine symbolism, strong light, and emotional storytelling. In 2025, she was selected as a finalist for the “Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize”. Since then, her work has been featured in the group exhibitions “Gems 2” at Nanny Goat Gallery and “Haunted Beauty” at Poetic Tiger Gallery, where one of her paintings was acquired by a private collector.
Her work explores themes of vulnerability, growth, human connection, and the transformative potential of life’s experiences. She is currently creating new pieces for upcoming group exhibitions with both galleries.
Artist Statement:
I create acrylic paintings that bridge imagination and emotion, offering viewers a passage into landscapes beyond the ordinary. Inspired by the rhythm of nature and the depth of human experience, I infuse my work with a sense of connection to ourselves, to each other, to nature, and to the worlds we dream of. I weave elements of realism into these
imaginary worlds, grounding the surreal with tangible, familiar details. This fusion allows me to create a delicate balance between the fantastical and the believable, giving viewers a portal into a world that feels both otherworldly and intimately real.
Thanks for being here! Means a lot! :)
